Haiti Mission Statement

Haiti 2011

Haiti’s Historic Mission Statement

Haiti, our beloved nation, is to be built up by the mutual effort of all its citizens and residents, who give their contribution to the good of the whole country.

We Haitians and leaders of today and tomorrow promise an oath before God to adopt godly virtues with the call to empower the nation’s citizens by mentoring, training, and discipline.

Our mindset is to prepare our nation’s body for unity, morality, cleanliness, justice for all, equal opportunity, peace, stability, and increase by which our nation’s prosperity and equality can be protected by every citizen with the help and wisdom of God.

Adopting a Biblical mission

Is Haiti smart enough to settle its internal differences and to adopt a Biblical mission? Yes!

All Haitians can open their hearts with humble attitudes to accept the sons and daughters of Haiti who were born in a foreign land but are still in love with their Haitian roots and culture. We Haitians need to put aside our selfish pride of classes that have plagued our country since 1804. We need to roll up our sleeves and come together in order to get the job done so our country can move forward in prosperity and equality.

Whether you are in the wealthy class, the poor class, the government class, the church class, the Voodoo class, the intellectual class, or the uneducated class, the reality is that we are all one big family of Haitians.

Consider the following scripture:

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14

It’s okay to be brave and courageous, but it’s not okay to belittle others based on their appearance, class, color, age, physical impairment, or country of origin. As a nation we need to include and welcome everyone to become a part of us as we march from city to city waiving our symbolic flags of unity.

Be on the side of God

Remember, to whom much is given, much is required. Let us Haitians come together to change our mentality of being on the defensive. Let us rather be on the offensive, on the side of God, who gave us Haitians revolutionary power to fulfill his purpose on earth so that we may be a nation of producing blessings for other nations.

I am telling you this as a friend. It has nothing to do with being a religious fanatic, a missionary, or to gain anything for my own self interest. It is simply the truth.

So why not test and try something new that we’ve never done before, instead of us Haitians fighting against God’s best destiny for our country? Since we already gave the devil 100% over the past 200 years, why not tell the devil, sorry. Enough is enough. We Haitians are smart enough and ready to explore what’s on God’s side, just like when many of us decide to risk our lives to go to another country for a better earthly life yet have no eternal guarantee or values if we perish before we got there.

Why not do the right thing? Submit yourselves to God and worship him as the creator of heaven and earth. Have eternal life before facing death in the afterlife. Imagine what a catastrophic event this will be for many people in the afterlife. First, they are the poorest and in the minority. Then, when they die they’ll end up like the majority burning in hell. That sounds like having dual citizenship of misery and curses. That’s not funny in my book. Once again, Haiti, the choice is yours!

Be diligent

Be diligent, Haiti, by knowing that God is on your side when you choose to put him first here on earth. The afterlife will be guaranteed paradise. Let us unite and love each other as we work to build Haiti as paradise on earth.

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

1 John 4

May God bless our country Haiti Cherie, the land that we all passionately love. See you all in 2011!
